Self -flying taxis (AAT’s) tests start in Dubai.

IMG_9702Dubai has started testing the worlds first self-flying two seater taxi known as Autonomous air taxis (AAT) on Monday. The flying taxi was supplied by a German manufacturer Volocopter. The AAT is said to be unmanned and flew 200 metres above the ground level on its first day of testing. This electric machine is studded with 18 propellers and is said to have a speed of 100 kmph.
This prototype is said to fly without any remote control guidance and has a maximum flight duration of 30 minutes. The AAT comes with a lot of safety devices; one being parachutes for a couple in case of emergency. The AAT technology will fasten the pace of electronic media and will aim at changing the face of UAE. According to reports, the flying taxi is already capable of flying with GPS based system today and will be developed to its fullest capabilities.

Dressed in white robe, Sheikh Hamadan, encouraged the test session that took place Monday. He said, “Encouraging innovation and adopting the latest technologies contributes not only to the country’s development but also builds bridges into the future”.

Well, the entire world awaits the launch of AAT.
